MacGourmet Release Notes
This blog documents the changes made in each version of MacGourmet. You can subscribe to it to keep up to date.
Version 2.3
Version 2.3 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- Added support for Mealplan, a new optional plug-in that adds meal planning and menus to MacGourmet. Mealplan requires this new version of MacGourmet.
- Updated plug-in support. This requires an update to the latest version of Nutrition and any web import plug-ins.
- Added informational contextual help when nothing but a list is selected.
- Updated to latest version of SQLite.
- Improved window management.
- Added informational popups widescreen mode.
- [Shopping Lists] Added favorites list to shopping list editor.
- [Shopping Lists] Shopping list columns can now be hidden and reordered.
- [Shopping Lists] Improved the display of shopping lists in recipe box, improved shopping list printing.
- [Shopping Lists] Items in new shopping lists will automatically have their stores, aisles, and categories filled in based on favorites and existing shopping lists.
- Improved application restarts after installing new or updated plug-ins.
- Added automatic update support using Sparkle
- Added blog posting support for MarsEdit.
- Added new themes for display and printing.
- [Import/Export] Fixed existing MasterCook file import issues.
- [Shopping Lists] Fixed a problem combining shopping list items that resulted in large quantities.
Version 2.2.6
Version 2.2.6 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [Leopard] Fixed a problem where selected equipment in the editor was not showing up correctly.
- [Leopard] Fixed issues displaying Featured content.
- [Leopard] Huge tooltips no longer get displayed for the widescreen summary views.
- [Leopard] Fixed problems with table tab behavior.
- Fixed a problem displaying content for some systems when there are spaces or odd characters in the Mac OS X user account name.
- Fixed a problem where sometimes an incorrect item count would be displayed for the selected list.
- Smart lists now correctly support using Wine Note types.
- Fixed a problem parsing some ingredients when importing (like: 1 (12 oz. jar) tomatoes)
- Fixed a problem that could cause the wrong list to be deleted.
- Fixed a problem displaying wine type in the wine notes list.
- [Williams-Sonoma.com] Fixed the importer for their new site redesign.
Version 2.2.5
Version 2.2.5 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [Leopard] Fixed format of placed text when it doesn't get reset correctly between clippings.
- Fixed a Mac-on-Intel issue that was preventing rating clicks when using the widescreen mode.
- Recipe categories should now be sorted correctly in lists.
- Fixed a problem where drag and drop to the relationship manager window could cause a crash.
- [FoodNetwork.com] Fixed a problem importing one of their alternate formats.
- [Epicurious] Added additional html tag stripping.
Version 2.2.4
Version 2.2.4 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [Services] Changed "Make Text Clipping" Services shortcut from command-shift-T to command-shift-M to resolve conflict with the latest versions of Safari.
- [Leopard] Menu items in the recipe import assistant should now be enabled and work as they did when running Mac OS X 10.4.
- [Registration] Updated to the latest eSellerate libraries
- [Registration] Made some registration errors more verbose to clear up confusion.
Version 2.2.3
Version 2.2.3 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [Website Publishing] Publishing lists with sublists should now reset the progress window values correctly.
- [Website Publishing] Published recipes should now get sorted correctly in all cases.
- [Website Publishing] Added more memory management so that large publications should now be faster and use less memory.
- [Leopard] Tabbing while editing in ingredients table view should now work like it does when running Mac OS X 10.4.
- [Leopard] Shortcuts in the recipe import assistant should now work as they did when running Mac OS 10.4.
- [Templates] Encoder for prep times no longer encodes html tags.
Version 2.2.2
Version 2.2.2 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [UI] Fixed a problem with the click target area for ratings when using the summary table view.
- [Wine Note] Hooked purchase location up correctly to cached list.
- [Wine Note] Added date formatters to field on cellar info tab.
- [Wine Note] Added currency formatter to price field.
- [Epicurious] Added better processing for ingredients lists.
- [Templates] Fixed a problem with the install location of iPhone themes.
- [Templates] Fixed a style sheet encoding specification issue in all templates.
Version 2.2.1
Version 2.2.1 is a free update for registered users and includes the following changes:
- [UI] Modified bottom status/command bar to be compatible with Leopard.
- [Nutrition] Modified ingredients list is now recognized by nutrition tab without having to save.
- [Epicurious] Updated importer for recent site changes.
- [AllRecipes] Updated importer for recent site changes.
- [Find and Search] You can now delete items from database when a Find results list is selected.
- [Templates] Fixed publishing and display problems caused by some characters not being encoded correctly.
- [UI] The correct recipe box list count is displayed when something changes.
