AppleScript get last error

It would be great if the system returned the last result or the last error. Right now when there is an error "get last error" never is cleared out.

It would also be great to have it (or another command) return the Elapsed Time and if a non row (create table) action was a success. This way you can tell if something was a success. For the non row transaction get editor row count returns a zero with or without an error.
