MacXword 1.2.0 Released!

I know it has been a long time between releases, but MacXword 1.2.0 is finally here! The big new feature is of course the ability to download puzzles directly in MacXword. This vastly reduces the amount of time you have to spend looking for puzzles to play. You can focus on what you use MacXword for in the first place - solving puzzles!

MacXword 1.2.0 also includes a timer for those who want the added challenge of racing the clock. A single timer window services all open puzzles. Whichever puzzle is foreground is the one the timer window shows the time for. As soon as you change puzzle windows, the timer window updates to show that puzzle's time.

Also new in MacXword 1.2.0 are the symbolic cell state indicators. These can be used in place of the colored text that has been available. If you prefer the colored text you can still use that, just specify your preference in the Appearance tab of the Preferences window. The new symbols are drawn in the upper right-hand corner of the cell. An "X" is used for incorrect, a checkmark for checked, and an eye for revealed. You can also specify the colors the symbols are drawn in. Here's a hint, if you don't like one of the symbols, change its color to white.

Finally there are a few bug fixes and minor changes to add polish to MacXword 1.2.0. I hope you find the new version a pleasure to use. Please feel free to send your comments and suggestions to me.
