Advenio Releases MacGourmet 2: The Best Way to Organize Recipes on Your Mac

Lewiston, ME -- January 4, 2007 - Advenio, LLC today announced the release and immediate availability of MacGourmet 2 for Mac OS X. MacGourmet allows Mac cooks to quickly and easily organize their recipes, wine notes and cooking notes, all using a Mac-friendly user interface that is familiar and easy to use. Version 2, an all-new version of the popular Mac application that adds many new user-requested features, is a free upgrade for current registered MacGourmet users. Version 2 can be purchased online for only $24.95.

"Because so much work has been done on the underlying "core" to support future features, I wanted to make sure that everyone currently using MacGourmet was able to move to version 2 together, which is why the upgrade is free." said Michael Dupuis, the creator of MacGourmet and one of the founders of Advenio. "MacGourmet 2 adds so many user requested features and enhancements, new and existing users will love the new version. New users will find a robust and easy to use Mac application for all of their culinary needs."

Current version 1 users do have a path to a voluntary "upgrade" that will get them an upgrade package download of extra recipes, .Mac and display themes, and a new MacGourmet T-shirt. The upgrade package download is only $10, the t-shirt with upgrade package download is only $15.

"Even though the upgrade is free for registered users, some people wanted a way to recognize all of the hard work that went into the new version, and get extra stuff in the process, so we made two voluntary upgrade paths available to them. Additionally, buying an upgrade package before the end of January will enter purchasers into a drawing for one of 2 iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Editions, as will buying a copy of version 2."
